The DSC Lead (President) is selected every summer by the staff at Google Developer Student Clubs - North America. While the current DSC Lead for our university can make a recommendation based on existing team members' performance during the year, the final selection is done by Google.
For 2021/2022, the DSC Lead is Stefan Ramdhan.
The team structure is malleable and may change in the future years depending on the feedback we receive this year.
Every member of the DSC McMaster U will be able to work on any projects and initiatives run by our club. The teams are merely a way to delegate responsibilities across members, but members are free to explore and participate in various teams. General members will report to a team lead for a particular team for their main responsibilities, but they are free to participate in other team activities where there is availability.
The DSC McMaster U will consist of several Teams which are listed below.
The DSC Lead (President) will be the lead for this Team.
This Team oversees all DSC activities, performs team-level organizational tasks, provides resources to team members, and manages finances.
During virtual school, this team is in charge of setting up virtual platforms to host team meetings, events, workshops, talks, and any other virtual activities the club runs.
When it is safe to host in-person events, this team will be in charge of booking rooms for events and any other university admin tasks required for running the club in-person.
