Table of Contents
The Outreach Team has two main focuses:
Build relationships and foster collaborations between GDSC McMaster U and other clubs/ teams within MacEng and McMaster, as a whole. For example, we may look into partnering with the McMaster Artificial Intelligence Society and/or DeltaHacks.
Encourage and welcome students who are not part of the Faculty of Engineering and may not have a background in technology to our community. This may be through events, campaigns, etc.
In the past, this team has run "Breaking Into Tech", a panel featuring students from a variety of McMaster faculties (e.g., business, health sciences, engineering, etc.) explaining why and how they got involved in the technology industry.
